Ethical Guidelines

At Creative Actions we sometimes engage in works that require the collection of survey data. In all of this work we take pride in taking an approach that seeks to address and mitigate any potential ethical concerns. In particular out approach address the following:

  • Positive benefit to our work

All work undertaken by Creative Actions has at its heart providing evidence to practitioners, across multiple fields, to stimulate reflective practice and encourage professional growth.

  • Non-malfeasance: Minimising the risk of harm by managing welfare & Dignity of Subjects Participants/Respondents

All surveys and/or reports generated and used by Creative Actions will be reviewed by appropriate, relevant practitioners and educators with a view to removing risk of harm including:

a) psychological stress and discomfort to participants;

b) physical harm;

c) social disadvantage;

  • Informed Consent & Right To Withdraw

a) Participants who utilise our survey products will be self-selecting into using our survey products;

b) Respondents to our surveys (providing feedback to participants) will be reminded that their participation is voluntary at the beginning of the survey and that they may withdraw from the process, with no penalty, at any time.

  • Safe Guarding of Collected Data

Our data is collected on line via Surveys which are GPDR compliant. No data in this environment is identified directly and only numeric ids are utilised. Once collected it is downloaded and then deleted from the Survey site it is then stored in a  secure environment.

  • Privacy & Confidentiality

Participants using our survey to collect feedback will be the only individuals to receive their data identified. Their data may be used in aggregate level reports for research, marketing or reporting to school leaders.

Respondents to surveys data will not capture data with which they cannot be identified.
